The Big Walker Charity Ride (BWCR), formerly called the Big Walker Century Ride, is a fundraising bike ride through the country lanes and scenic byways of southwest Virginia. Full century (100 miles), metric century (62 miles) and a 45-mile route are available as well as a 30-mile fun ride suitable for all ages. Routes provide multiple crossings by Big Walker Mountain Lookout.

Proceeds benefit HOPE, an umbrella human services organization delivering housing and anti-poverty programs to the southwest Virginia counties of Wythe, Bland, Carroll, Smyth and Grayson and the city of Galax. Click here to learn more about HOPE.

You can also support HOPE's mission by participating in the 2012 BWCR fundraising campaign.  Click here to learn more.
