Proceeds benefit HOPE, an umbrella human services organization delivering housing and anti-poverty programs to the southwest Virginia counties of Wythe, Bland, Carroll, Smyth and Grayson and the city of Galax. Big Walker Charity Ride (BWCR), formerly called the Big Walker Century Ride, is a fundraising bike ride through the country
lanes and scenic byways of southwest Virginia. Full century (100 miles), metric
century (62 miles) and a 45-mile route are available as well as a 30-mile fun ride suitable for all ages.
